Are you ready to feel like you are on the top of a cotton castle? For this fascinating tour, we will pick you up from your hotel for a flight to Denizli in the early morning. You will be transferred to Istanbul Airport to fly to Denizli. When we arrive we will drive to Pamukkale meaning ‘’Cotton Castle’’ and it is the most fitting name because the brilliant white calcified terraces truly resemble a castle made of cotton. You will feel like you are in a dream. We will visit Cleopatra's hot spring thermal pool (the fee will be extra), where you will be able to swim and have a relaxing moment in an awesome, unique place. While you are swimming you may think that you are in a pool where once Cleopatra swam thousands of years ago, may feel nature and history together inside yourself.
Our next station is Hierapolis, whose ruins currently comprise an archaeological museum designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is also called a Holy City in Archeological literature because there were many temples and religious buildings in Hierapolis. Hierapolis, which was founded as a thermal spa in the early 2nd century BC, has one of the largest and most diverse necropoleis in the world filled with sarcophagi, including the famous sarcophagus of Marcus Aurelius Ammianos, which bears the earliest known example of a crank and rod mechanism.
At the end of the tour, we will take you to the hotel, and stay overnight in Kusadasi.
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will set off for a full-day Ephesus tour and Virgin Mary’s house. Our first route is the ruins of the Temple of Artemis which was amongst the seven wonders of the ancient world. Then we will get to The Ancient City of Ephesus where you will have a chance to investigate some of the best-preserved theatres, libraries, fountains, and buildings in the world, dating back to very ancient times.
Our next station is the House of the Virgin Mary on the top of the mountain, a place hidden in the green. The house has been noted as a pilgrimage center by Christians, and there is a legend that the Virgin Mary lived her last days on earth in this small stone cottage. When the tour comes to an end, we will transfer you to your hotel.
With the first lights of the day, you will be picked up from your hotel for a flight to Cappadocia. You will be transferred to Izmir Airport to fly to our target destination, Cappadocia.
