Embark on a 7 days of historic exploration from Istanbul to Gallipoli, Troy, Pergamon, Ephesus, and Pamukkale, discovering Turkey’s ancient and modern wonders.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Upon your arrival to Istanbul, you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to the hotel, staying overnight in Istanbul.
After having rest at night, you will be picked up from the reception. The name of today’s tour is the Old City Tour. Our route is: Haghia-Sophia, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace, and Suleymaniye Mosque. At the end of the day, you will be back at the hotel and stay overnight in Istanbul.
In the morning, after having breakfast in your hotel, you will be picked up from the hotel. You must be ready to be fascinated by the beauties that you are going to encounter. We will see the places, Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar), Bosphorus Cruise, Rumeli Fortress, Dolmabahce Palace, Bosphorus Bridge, and Camlica Hill.
After visiting these unforgettable places, you will be back to your hotel and stay overnight in Istanbul
In the early morning, we will leave the hotel to arrive at Gallipoli. Gallipoli is one of the most touching places in Turkey and hallowed ground for many nations, especially Australia, New Zealand, and Turkey. We will visit the main sites of War World I’s epic battle such as the Lone Pine Australian Memorial and Chunuk Bair, New Zealand Memorial, ANZAC Cove, Johnston’s Jolly, and Kabatepe Gallipoli Museum. Then we will cross the Dardanelles to Canakkale for an overnight stay.
We will explore the ruins of legendary Homer’s Troy with its famous Trojan wooden horse, best known for being the setting of the Trojan War, and many cities built on top of each other. The ancient city of Troy was immortalized by Homer in his epic the “Iliad and Odyssey.’’ Before we get to Asclepion, we will enjoy lunch in a traditional, small village. After that, we will visit the Pergamon, an ancient city, that reached the height of its influence during the Hellenistic period. The celebrated, culturally rich with an extensive library at its heart built with Roman Tiles, the Roman City of Pergamon will fascinate you. It is also known for centuries for its monuments such as the magnificent Acropolis and one of the steepest theatres. Its impressive temples, library, and medical facilities made it a renowned cultural and political center during Roman and Hellenistic civilizations. At the end of the tour, we will continue to Kusadasi to stay there overnight.
Do you want to discover the most significant Roman metropolis of the Mediterranean with a professional tour of Ephesus and to have a visit to the House of the Virgin Mary? You may re-live the ancient Ephesus while visiting it with our expert guides. You will walk through the Fountains of Polio Hadrian-Trajan, the temples of Dormition, Roman Baths, the Brothel, Celsius Library, and the Great Theater. While you are wandering around the ancient city you will be impressed by the magnificence of the buildings with the technology of those times. Also, we will visit the House of the Virgin Mary where she spent her last days accompanied by St. John, who preferred to live in this remote place rather than in a crowded place. At the end of the tour, we will proceed to Kusadasi for an overnight stay.
We will drive through the abundant valleys to Pamukkale, the Cotton Castle which is beyond reality with its white lime cascades formed by hot mineral springs. When we reach there, we will find both natural and ancient history together. We will visit the ruins of the Roman health spa of Hierapolis, which is one of the largest and most diverse necropoleis in the world. And, of course, enjoy a swim in your hotel’s thermal pool.
At the end of your tour, you will be transferred to the airport to fly to Istanbul. When you land in Istanbul you will be transferred to your hotel, in Istanbul.
