To see and feel the spirit of the most important battles of the First World War, crucial for the independence of the Republic of Turkey, this two-day tour will allow you to visit two important attractions of the Marmara Region, such as the archaeological site of the legendary Troy, and the Strait of the Dardanelles.
This tour is organized by bus.
In the early morning, we will leave the hotel to arrive in Gallipoli in the afternoon for a full-day tour. Gallipoli is one the most touching places in Turkey and a hallowed ground for many nations, especially Australia, New Zealand, and Turkey. We will visit the main sites of War World I’s epic battle such as the Lone Pine Australian Memorial and Chunuk Bair, New Zealand Memorial, ANZAC Cove, Johnston’s Jolly, and Kabatepe Gallipoli Museum. Overnight stay in Canakkale.
After breakfast, we will explore the ruins of legendary Homer’s Troy with its famous Trojan wooden horse. The ancient city of Troy was immortalized by Homer in his epic the “Iliad and and Odyssey.’’ After the morning Troy tour, we will drive back to Istanbul.
